ZM135 - 809 Naval Air Squadron - Fleet Air Arm 26th June 2017

I hope you like this repaint of Dino Cattaneo's Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II. This paint is a fictional one showing ZM135 as how the Lightning II may look
when in service with the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy. 809 NAS "The Immortals" are due to be reformed on the Lightning II in 2024 where they will operate the aircraft
alongside the RAF's 617 "Dambusters" Squadron. Together they will fly from the deck of the Royal Navy's new supercarriers; HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales.
Both will displace 72,000tonnes and represent the Royal Navy's return to fixed wing carrier aviation after a gap of seven years. HMS Queen Elizabeth departed her buildyard
of Rosyth today where she will start two years of sea trials, she will enter the fleet at the end of 2017 and will embark F-35s for the first time in 2018/19.
